Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Duke HomeCare & Hospice team in Durham, NC. The role focuses on compassionate, patient-centered nursing within home care, hospice, and the inpatient hospice facility.

Responsibilities include planning, delivering and documenting nursing care, delegating tasks, and leading care teams. Requires NC RN licensure, ADN/ Diploma/ BSN, and BLS certification; provides growth in a Magnet organization with renowned nursing standards.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN, diploma, or BSN).
Current RN licensure in NC or participating compact state (or eligibility).
BLS required, may be renewed during orientation.

Responsibilities

Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
Act as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or unit as assigned.
Monitor and maintain the care environment and equipment resources.
Participate in professional development and identify learning needs.
Support the development of other staff and learners and participate in improvement activities.
