Job summary

Duke HomeCare & Hospice in Durham, NC seeks a professional RN to provide nursing care in patients' homes or inpatient hospice. You will follow nursing process, collaborate with physicians, and support families in end-of-life care consistent with Duke's mission.

Responsibilities include planning and documenting care, discharge planning, education for patients and families, and participation in inter-disciplinary teams. Requires NC RN licensure and CPR; BSN encouraged after two years.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or diploma required (RN).
• Current North Carolina RN licensure or compact state licensure.
• Current CPR certification (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per nursing process.
• Assess patient education needs and develop discharge plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and communicate with physicians.
• Maintain compliance with DHCH policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in inter-disciplinary team meetings as needed.

Education

Associate Degree or Diploma, Nursing

RN licensure (North Carolina or compact)

CPR Certification (AHA)
