Job summary

Pallitus Health in Louisville, KY seeks an Inpatient Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician.

The physician provides direct patient care in inpatient hospice/palliative settings, participates in IDG care planning, and covers night and weekend on-call as assigned. Requires MD/DO, KY and IN licensure, DEA, and hospice/palliative fellowship; board certification or eligibility within 5 years.

This is a Monday–Friday role with on-call responsibilities and potential for leadership duties as needed.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required.
• Licensure for medical practice in KY and IN, including DEA.
• Fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine required.
• Hospice, palliative care, or related experience preferred.
• Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine or board-eligible within 5 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient hospice and palliative care.
• Cover night and weekend on-call as assigned.
• Participate in care planning meetings with IDG and Medical Director’s designee.
• Perform administrative duties such as certifications, recertifications, and death certificates as needed.
