Job summary

CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group in Lexington, KY is seeking an Inpatient Palliative Care Physician to deliver compassionate, symptom-focused care within a collaborative team. You will provide inpatient palliative care consultations and management, working with hospitalists, specialists, nursing, and case management to address symptoms, goals of care, and advance care planning.

You should be board-certified or board-eligible with training or experience in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and you

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board-certified or board-eligible (does NOT have to be in Palliative Care).
• Experience working in Palliative Care.
• Active Medical License in the State of Kentucky, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• DEA certificate.
• Completion of ACGME Residency (does NOT have to be Palliative Care-specific).

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Palliative Care consultation and management.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, nursing, case management, and chaplaincy to address symptom management, goals of care, and advance care planning.
• Support patients and families through serious illness and difficult healthcare decisions.
• Maintain Epic electronic health record documentation.
