Job summary

Hospice of Southern Kentucky is seeking a Medical Director to provide leadership, clinical direction, and oversight of the hospice and palliative care program under the CEO. The Medical Director guides care plans and coordinates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality symptom management and patient comfort in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Current, unrestricted Kentucky medical license with DEA and NPI registrations.
• Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the hospice medical program.
• Supervise and coordinate care with associated physicians and Advanced Practitioners.
• Ensure direct medical services and physician coverage for patient care.
• Lead daily rounds for inpatient and hospital-based patients to maintain continuity.
• Collaborate with IDT and community partners to develop individualized care plans.
• Educate staff and advance hospice/palliative care services.
