Job summary

Aultman Health System in Canton, OH is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to deliver inpatient Gastroenterology care. The APP will collaborate with GI physicians to evaluate, manage, and follow hospitalized patients with acute and chronic GI conditions, under hospital policies.

7a-7p shifts, 7-day coverage in a 14-day period includes every other weekend and holiday; inpatient consulting, education for patients and families, and coordination of care.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Ohio.
• Minimum one year of acute-care experience preferred.
• Inpatient gastroenterology, hepatology or hospital medicine experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills; strong organization and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultations, evaluation, treatment, and follow-up for hospitalized patients.
• Develop and implement evidence-based plans of care in coordination with GI physicians.
• Coordinate endoscopic procedures and diagnostic testing as part of the GI team.
• Educate patients and families about GI conditions, tests, treatments and discharge planning.
