Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for inpatient Gastroenterology at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.

The APP will collaborate with gastroenterology physicians to manage acute and chronic GI conditions, coordinate procedures, and ensure safe transitions of care while providing high-quality, patient-centered care. 7-day coverage in a 14-day cycle, alternating weekends and holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Ohio.
• Minimum one year of acute care experience; inpatient gastroenterology or related areas preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills; strong organization and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates to provide inpatient gastroenterology consultation, evaluation, treatment, management and follow-up for hospitalized GI patients.
• Evaluates and manages common inpatient gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
• Coordinates preparation and readiness for endoscopic procedures and other GI-related interventions.
• Performs new inpatient gastroenterology consultations and follow-up visits with comprehensive assessments and plans of care.
• Coordinates care transitions and timely escalation when needed.
• Documents gastroenterology plan of care and communicates with the primary team.
