Job summary

The General, Endocrine & Metabolic Surgery (GEMS) Inpatient APP collaborates with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and functions as a member of the general surgery management team. This requires managing all aspects of patients from admission to the operating room, and discharge.

The APP will work as part of a team with faculty, trainees, and students. The APP will be responsible for inpatient care including evaluating consults in the emergency room and hospital setting, daily visits, and

Qualifications

• Licensed NP or PA with inpatient hospital experience.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work daytime with occasional evenings.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient care including evaluating consults in the ER and hospital.
• Daily patient visits and coordination of discharge.
• Documentation in the electronic health record and OR assistance.
• Outpatient responsibilities may include faculty clinics and evaluation of hospital follow-up care.
