Job summary

Capital Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our inpatient surgery team. The APP will deliver patient-centered care to hospitalized patients while working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team.

The APP will assess and manage patients throughout their stay, participate in rounds, develop treatment plans, coordinate care, and support safe transitions. Requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current national certification appropriate to the provider's profession.
• Current or eligible licensure in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Appropriate prescriptive authority and controlled-substance registration, as required.
• Current or eligible DEA registration, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations.
• Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, medications, and treatments within scope of practice.
• Participate in daily patient rounds and multidisciplinary care planning.
• Coordinate consultations and follow-up care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, discharge planning, and transitions of care.
