Job summary

Harborview Medical Center in Seattle is seeking an APP (ARNP or PA-C) for Inpatient General Surgery. This full-time, day-shift position includes weekend and holiday coverage with no on-call, and potential for 2–3 nights per month.

The APP provides clinical expertise to patients and families, acts as a resource to other providers, and participates in research and teaching activities. Work is in Inpatient Care Units and ED under supervision of attending physicians and the department lead APP.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• WA State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges.
• National certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with 3 years APP/provider experience in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical expertise to patients and families.
• Serves as a resource for health care providers.
• Participates in research and teaching programs.
• Works in Inpatient Care Units and Emergency Department under guidance.
