Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider in Gynecologic Oncology to deliver comprehensive inpatient and perioperative care. The APP will collaborate with surgeons, oncologists and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes and streamline treatment planning.

The role involves autonomously managing inpatient and consults, contributing to pre/postoperative evaluations and serving as a first assist in the operating room.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with Acute Care certification.
• RNFA certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients on the inpatient Gynecologic Oncology Service.
• Perform standard exams and evaluations for inpatient and emergency room consults.
• Pre & post operative evaluation of gynecologic oncology inpatients.
• First assist in the operating room.
• Assist with the management of inpatient chemotherapy treatments.
• Communicate with primary & multidisciplinary team to collaborate on management of gynecologic oncology diagnoses.
• Interpret and evaluate diagnostic and laboratory tests and take appropriate actions.
• Work autonomously and in collaboration with attending physicians, residents and fellows.

Education

Physician Assistant or APRN with Acute Care certification
