Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) for an outpatient gastroenterology/hepatology position. The role focuses on evaluation and management of referred patients; clinic based, M-F day shift.

The candidate should hold a Master of Science degree and Ohio licensure as APRN or PA with national certification; prior APP experience preferred. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, documentation, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree or equivalent provision.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Ohio.
• Maintains national certification as APRN or PA.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and/or populations; develops, implements and evaluates plans of care; clearly documents and communicates information.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines and standards as necessary for the care of the patient.
• Utilizes evidence-based practice; serves as a clinical expert for policies, procedures, documentation, and skills.
• Assists in the education, training and development of new and existing staff members.
• Engages in data collection or auditing; participates in Quality Improvement.
• Leverages technology and informatics to optimize healthcare outcomes.
• Contributes to the division and/or specialty goals and the Hospital Strategic Plan.
