Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Registered Nurse for an Inpatient Hospital Float across Med/Surg, Stepdown, Same Day Surgery, and Emergency Department support. You will deliver comprehensive patient care, coordinate nursing processes, and contribute to a safe, high-quality patient environment across departments.

This role requires an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS per AHA. Inpatient RN experience is preferred and a float premium applies after orientation.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA).
• ACLS and PALS by the American Heart Association.
• Inpatient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead with evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and compassionate communication to ensure patient safety and high quality care.
