Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a registered nurse to engage in governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based nursing care. The role uses the nursing process to assess and treat patients, coordinates with families, and ensures safety across the continuum of care.

You will document in EHRs, collaborate with the care team, and may float to other units as needed. The position requires a nursing degree and an active RN license with BLS certification; typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of a board of nursing approved education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team.
• Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation.
• Promote safety culture and adhere to ethical standards.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Communicate effectively and delegate appropriately within the team.
• Float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
