Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a Regular RN for a floating inpatient position. The role requires 12 months of nursing experience and involves floating to departments such as cardio/pulmonary, orthopedics, short stay, renal surgery, trauma, and neurology.

You will deliver comprehensive nursing care, coordinate with the health care team, educate patients and families, document care, maintain safety, and uphold Avera's CARE standards in a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• 1–3 years experience in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care by reviewing physician prescriptions and coordinating with the health care team.
• Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, and documenting status.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Evaluate care and modify plans based on outcomes and changing needs.
• Maintain safe patient care environment and document care in records.
