Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners seeks an Inpatient Financial Counseling Specialist to educate patients on benefits, validate coverage, and calculate patient liabilities during inpatient stays, including pre-registration tasks and coordination with hospital staff.

This on-site role at Tower - Reading Hospital in West Reading, PA may require nights, weekends, and holidays; pay ranges from $18.65–$19.90 per hour based on experience, with bonus incentives and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Assess and collect patient liabilities including copays, deductibles and balances.
• Verify insurance eligibility and determine patient liability.
• Conduct face-to-face benefit education during inpatient stays.
• Coordinate pre-registration and registration tasks at service.
• Commit to visiting patient rooms at least 3 times daily.

Responsibilities

• Assess and collect patient liabilities during patient stays.
• Communicate with patients to verify coverage and expected payments.
• Assist in daily in-house call reviews to secure payor sources.
• Complete pre-registration and registration tasks at service.
• Document accounts with patient liabilities daily.
