Bayou City ER & Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time night shift in the Inpatient Emergency Department. This RN will deliver high-acuity nursing care, rapidly triage and stabilize patients, and coordinate with ED and inpatient teams to ensure safe transitions for admission, transfer, or discharge.

The role emphasizes continuous monitoring, precise documentation, and patient and family education, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Texas or eligible.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; higher certifications may be preferred depending on position.

Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients rapidly to determine priorities and urgency.
• Stabilize patients with medications, IV therapy, wound care, and urgent interventions.
• Continuously monitor vital signs, document status, and detect deterioration early.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records.
