Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse CAP 2 to provide and coordinate clinically competent care for dialysis patients in several Vanderbilt facilities. The role supports CAP progression and leadership in patient care, teaching, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and collaboration with nurses, technicians, and physicians to ensure safe, effective care for the patient population with kidney disease.

Qualifications

• Current state RN licensure in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Entry level RN CAP 2 with CAP progression possible.
• Nephrology nursing or dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for assigned patients.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate dialysis treatment needs.
• Document patient data and adjust treatment plans as indicated.
• Educate patients and families on care and self-management.
• Collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and technicians to ensure continuity.
• Serve as a role model and mentor for staff and new hires.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and safety initiatives.
