Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nephrology nursing experience within the last 2 years.
• Ability to coordinate care, educate patients and families.
• Experience with intradialytic care and medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and guidance from Educator/Preceptor.
• Collects and analyzes patient data pre-during-post treatment and updates the medical record.
• Provides patient and family education on care and treatment.
• Directs safe, effective care for assigned patients per prescribed procedures.
• Coordinates communication with dialysis providers and contracted facilities.
• Manages emergency response measures as needed.
• Serves as a resource and mentor to new staff and colleagues.
• May precept new employees and support CAP progression.
• Completes CAP requirements to maintain or advance.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
