Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a professional registered nurse for the Inpatient RN CAP 2 role within our Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide comprehensive renal care, assess and plan treatment, and coordinate with the care team across dialysis modalities in a facility setting.

This position emphasizes teaching, leadership and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes. Occasional travel between facilities and on-call requirements are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR/BLS Certification current or in progress.
• Must meet practice requirements in all states employed.
• Entry-level RN with 2+ years of nephrology nursing experience in the last 2 years.
• Acute dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
• Document patient data in the medical record and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families about learning needs.
• Direct and supervise patient care staff as assigned by the Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
• Coordinate communication with dialysis providers and facility staff for continuity of care.
• Administer medications and monitor effectiveness; respond to adverse reactions.
