Qualifications

• Associates degree or a total of 7 years' experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Certifications: CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CIC, CPC or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Provides day-to-day supervision and instruction for coders, including monitoring productivity and scheduling.
• Assigns and monitors daily coder workload to facilitate billing within established timeframes.
• Maintains appropriate coverage and monitors bill holds for financial stability.
• Serves as a clinical coding subject matter expert and resolves documentation issues with CDI and Coding Quality input.
• Assists manager in hiring, orientation and training of coders on site-specific requirements.
• Provides input in performance evaluations and coordinates with manager on corrective actions.
• Maintains AHIMA standards of ethical coding and compliance with policies.
