Covenant Health seeks a Coder Analyst Specialist to join Covenant Medical Group in East Tennessee. This full-time daytime role codes medical services, abstracts data, and supports timely billing in collaboration with providers and the Billing Department.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 standards, reviewing encounters for accurate documentation, and assisting other coders. CPC or RHIT credentials are required or preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Three (3) years of extensive diagnosis and procedural coding experience required.
• Must have CPC coding certification or be RHIT registered.
• Education: high school diploma or GED equivalent accepted.

• Reviews documentation to determine ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding per billing guidelines.
• Verifies data and abstracts information for charge entry.
• Assists provider with coding questions and supports other coders on complex cases.
• Edits unbilled claim transmission reports daily to ensure timely billing.
• Participates in quality coding and audit reviews for each provider.
• Communicates pending items with office manager and CDI supervisor.
• Liaises with insurance for benefit determinations and claim rejections.
