Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a skilled medical coder to review provider documentation and assign CPT, ICD-10 codes, and modifiers for professional services. The role includes coding education for providers and daily billing tasks, with additional duties as assigned by the Practice Manager.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, procedural/surgery coding experience, and CPC or CCS-P certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Procedural and/or surgery coding experience preferred.
• Certified Coder (CPC or CCS-P) required.

Responsibilities

• Review provider documentation in the EMR to identify incomplete documentation.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Assign modifiers as appropriate.
• Review and correct provider audits.
• Provide coding and billing education to providers.
• Complete charge corrections.
• Coordinate daily billing with PBS.
• Maintain current coding knowledge and certification.
• Work independently with limited supervision.
• Manage denied claims.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
