Medasource is seeking experienced inpatient coders for a remote, 100% work-from-home role on a 3-month contract-to-hire basis with the potential to join the team permanently.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of acute care inpatient coding experience, active CCS/RHIT/RHIA credentials, and proficiency with Epic, Solventum 360 (3M), and CAC to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and MS-DRG assignments.

• Experience using CAC.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and MS-DRGs.
• Experience coding complex surgical cases preferred (cardiac and spine).
• Comfortable working independently in a 100% remote environment.

Responsabilidades

• Code acute care inpatient facility records from start to finish.

We are hiring experienced Inpatient Coders to support a large health system with its acute care inpatient coding needs. This is a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity with the intention of bringing strong performers onto the team permanently.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced inpatient coder who is comfortable working independently in a remote environment and can maintain strong productivity and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Code acute care inpatient facility records from start to finish
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes
• Ensure accurate MS-DRG assignment
• Code complex, high-acuity inpatient cases, including surgical cases
• Review documentation and work with CDI when clarification is needed
• Maintain required productivity and quality standards
• Work efficiently within Epic, Solventum 360 (3M), and CAC

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent acute care inpatient facility coding experience
• Active CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification required
• Experience with Epic
• Experience with Solventum 360 (3M)
• Experience using CAC
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and MS-DRGs
• Experience coding complex surgical cases preferred, particularly cardiac and spine
• Ability to consistently maintain productivity and accuracy expectations
• Comfortable working independently in a 100% remote environment

Schedule

• 100% Remote
• 40 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling Sunday through Saturday
• Hours can be worked between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM ET
