Job summary

Medasource is seeking experienced inpatient coders for a remote, 100% work-from-home role on a 3-month contract-to-hire basis with the potential to join the team permanently.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of acute care inpatient coding experience, active CCS/RHIT/RHIA credentials, and proficiency with Epic, Solventum 360 (3M), and CAC to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and MS-DRG assignments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of acute care inpatient facility coding experience.
• Active CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification required.
• Experience with Epic.
• Experience with Solventum 360 (3M).
• Experience using CAC.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and MS-DRGs.
• Experience coding complex surgical cases preferred (cardiac and spine).
• Comfortable working independently in a 100% remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Code acute care inpatient facility records from start to finish.
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
• Ensure accurate MS-DRG assignment.
• Code complex, high-acuity inpatient cases, including surgical cases.
• Review documentation and coordinate with CDI for clarification.
• Maintain required productivity and quality standards.
• Work within Epic, Solventum 360 (3M), and CAC.
