Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Coder Abstractor Inpatient Level III to code and abstract medical records using ICD-10-CM/PCS and adhere to established guidelines. You will apply coding standards across EPIC, Solventum (3M) 360 Encompass, CloudMed, Iodine and SmarterDx to ensure precise data.

The role requires 4–6 years of inpatient coding experience, strong knowledge of coding guidelines and high accuracy. Day shift, Mon-Fri, with 7 AM-3 PM hours and salary paid hourly.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of inpatient coding experience required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRG, ROM/SOI.
• Medical terminology and anatomy knowledge required.
• Basic Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Code and abstract inpatient records to ICD-10-CM/PCS with accuracy.
• Follow department productivity and quality standards; maintain 95% accuracy.
• Perform physician queries as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education.
• Maintain accreditations and annual competency requirements.
