Job summary

IU Health is seeking an Inpatient Clinical Dietitian for our new Fort Wayne hospital. This role requires working on-call every other weekend and holidays, providing nutrition care to both inpatients and outpatients using the Nutrition Care Process in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation, and developing individualized nutrition education plans for patients.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required or Bachelor's Degree prior to 2024.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of start date.
• Indiana licensure within 1 year of start date.
• CDR approval and Indiana RD license may be required for some clinical billing.
• Ability to develop nutritional care plans and provide nutritional education.
• Ability to demonstrate nutrition-focused physical exam and malnutrition documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide optimal nutrition care for inpatients and outpatients using the Nutrition Care Process in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• The Nutrition Care Process includes nutritional assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring/evaluation.
• Plan and deliver individualized nutrition education to patients/clients.
