Sentara Health is seeking an Education Specialist – Inpatient Case Management in Norfolk, VA. The role focuses on orienting and precepting new staff and medical staff, coordinating educational sessions, and keeping clinical education current across care coordination initiatives.

The position requires an RN license (VA/NC/Compact) with a case management certification or plan to obtain one within a year, plus 3 years in acute care and 3 years in case management. Onsite with multi-site rotation.

Qualifications

• RN license required in VA, NC or Compact/Multi-State; must obtain if not certified within one year of hire.
• 3 years experience in Acute Care is required.
• 1 year experience in Training is required.
• 3 years experience in Case Management is required.
• 1 year experience as an Educator is required.

Responsabilités

• Support orientation and preceptorship for new staff, managers, residents, medical staff and physician advisors.
• Coordinate educational classes, including medical necessity and technology training; provide in-services to maintain knowledge.
• Assist with development and revisions of policies, procedures, guidelines and job aids.
