Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Boston is seeking a patient care associate to join 12 Reisman, a 44-bed inpatient unit serving Plastics, ENT, Breast and Colorectal Surgery. You will collaborate with registered nurses to develop care plans and maintain competencies while ensuring patient safety.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and 0–1 years of related experience; basic computer skills are helpful.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Patient care experience strongly preferred (CNA/LNA/MA/ED Tech/EMT/PCT or nursing student with clinical rotation).
• Completion of BIDMC in-house training program or related allied health program candidates is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with a registered nurse on developing a patient's care plan.
• Develops and maintains competencies as delegated by a registered nurse.
• Maintains patient safety using nursing safety interventions or protective devices under supervision.
• Reports all patient activity to the registered nurse in a timely manner.
