Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health's 12 Reisman Med/Surg unit is hiring a Patient Care Technician for 36-hour rotating shifts. You will collaborate with an inpatient nursing team to provide quality patient care across plastics, ENT, breast and colorectal surgery patients.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 0–1 years of related experience, and basic computer proficiency. Prior patient-care experience (CNA/LNA/MA/ED Tech/EMT/PCT) or BIDMC in-house training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 0-1 years related work experience preferred.
• Patient care experience in CNA/LNA/MA/ED Tech/EMT/PCT or BIDMC training preferred.
• Basic familiarity with computers; ability to navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with an inpatient nursing team to provide quality patient care.
• Develops and maintains competencies as delegated by a registered nurse.
• Maintains patient safety and uses protective devices as directed.
• Reports all patient activity to the registered nurse in a timely manner.
