Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to work the evening shift under licensed clinicians. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patients, take vital signs, and support the healthcare team in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Responsibilities include helping with mobility, ensuring patient safety, performing tasks such as EKGs and point-of-care tests, collecting specimens, and maintaining a clean, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Basic computer and software literacy.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely communication to RN regarding patient observations.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and mobility.
• Maintain patient safety and de-escalate when needed.
• Take and record vital signs and assist with procedures.
