Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a nurse aide to provide direct patient care and assist with non-direct care unit coordination. The role requires performing basic nursing procedures for stable patients and supporting RN in acutely ill cases, while practicing medical asepsis and ensuring privacy and dignity for patients and families.

Responsibilities include documenting care in the EMR, participating in safety initiatives, and assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required per job standards.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic math skills and computer literacy are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document direct patient care (ADLs, vital signs, intake/output, etc.).
• Document O2, IVs and treatments in EMR.
• Support RN in care of acutely ill patients and unit coordination.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers on inpatient unit.
• Maintain patient/family environment and respond to emergencies.
