Job description

Inpatient Care Coordinator - Remote in PST, MST OR CST

Join us as an Inpatient Care Coordinator working remotely within PST, MST, or CST time zones. This full-time position involves providing exceptional patient service, coordinating post-discharge appointments, and managing authorizations within specified protocols. The role requires flexibility to work during our standard hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm PST, with weekend rotation and occasional overtime. Training is virtual and paid, lasting 4-8 weeks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding service to patients
  • Arrange follow-up appointments within 7 days of discharge
  • Create and manage authorizations ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment across multiple systems
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and respond promptly
  • Maintain high standards of communication and care
  • Apply critical thinking to resolve issues and redirect calls as needed
  • Follow departmental policies and identify process improvements
  • Operate independently in a virtual setting
  • Meet productivity goals and protect patient information per HIPAA standards
  • Collaborate as a team player and perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • At least 1 year of experience in healthcare customer service (e.g., medical facility, insurance)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and navigating multiple chat channels in Microsoft Teams
  • Availability to work full-time weekdays, including weekends and occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of call center experience
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within PST, MST, or CST zones
  • Secure a dedicated, private work area
  • Have reliable high-speed internet connection
  • Adhere to company telecommuting policies

The hourly rate ranges from $16.00 to $28.85, depending on experience and location. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, incentives, stock purchase plans, and 401(k). The application will be open for at least 2 business days or until a suitable candidate pool is formed.
