Ashtabula Regional Medical Center in Ohio is seeking a Mental Health Tech for the Behavioral Medicine Unit. This full-time, 12-hour shift role supports nursing staff by providing direct patient care, facilitating groups, and monitoring patients’ mental status.

Qualified candidates typically hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology or a mental health field, with inpatient experience preferred and BLS certification. CPI training within 6 months of hire is required.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, or mental health field.
• One or more years of mental health experience in related fields.
• Group facilitation skills, knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and treatments.

Mansioni

• Provide direct patient care to psychiatric patients under RN supervision.
• Facilitate groups as assigned.
• Monitor mental status and psychiatric symptoms; intervene appropriately.
• Assist in activities of daily living and supervise meals/trays.
• Obtain vital signs and assist in milieu management.
• Maintain documentation in patient charts.
