Job summary

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services seeks Direct Care Providers/Behavioral Health Technicians for its Inpatient division in Phoenix, AZ. You will perform screening, assessment, treatment planning, life skills and pre-vocational training, plus documentation and case management, delivering crisis intervention and counseling to adults with serious mental illness in an inpatient setting.

Available shifts include Day 7am–7pm and Night 7pm–7am.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years old
• High School Diploma or GED with 6 months full-time behavioral health experience
• Related Associate’s degree with 6 weeks full-time behavioral health experience
• Non-related Associate’s degree with 1 year full-time behavioral health experience
• Related bachelor’s degree
• Non-related bachelor’s degree with 6 months relevant experience in behavioral health

Responsibilities

• Provide screening, assessment and treatment planning for SMI members in inpatient settings
• Deliver life skills and pre-vocational training
• Complete related documentation and care coordination
• Provide crisis intervention as needed
• Offer individual and/or group counseling
• Provide case management within inpatient programs
