Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an RN for the Adult DDD 12 Bed Unit on a full-time day shift at the Elizabeth, NJ campus. This role supports inpatient behavioral health care for a diverse patient population within Saint Barnabas medical center's environment.

The position requires NJ RN licensure, BSN or ASN, BLS, ACLS within six months, and at least one year of behavioral health nursing experience. Prior Med Surg/Telemetry/ER experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN License or approved RN license required
• AHA BLS prior to start date required
• AHA ACLS within 6 months of hire
• Minimum one (1) year experience in Behavioral Health Nursing required
• Previous experience in Med Surg, Telemetry, and/or ER Nursing a plus
• Psychiatric-Mental Health certifications and/or national nursing certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• The RN organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care within an assigned unit.
• Supports nursing philosophy and hospital mission and standards.
• Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
