RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Part-Time Night RN for the Mental Health Closed Unit at NEW POINT CAMPUS in Elizabeth, NJ. This 27-bed inpatient unit focuses on stabilizing acute psychiatric patients using evidence-based care.

The RN provides nursing care within the Nurse Practice Act, collaborates with the care team, and ensures patient safety. Required ASN or Nursing Diploma, NJ RN license, BLS; preferred PMH/Med-Surg/Telemetry experience.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• The Registered Nurse ensures safety in practice and maintains knowledge of the patient population served.
• The Registered Nurse coordinates and delegates tasks to team members and collaborates with other care providers.
• The Registered Nurse sets and evaluates priorities with measurable outcomes towards improvement.
