RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Behavioral Health/Short Term Care at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. This full-time, day-shift position offers a supportive, collaborative environment focused on safety and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessments, timely interventions, and strong interprofessional teamwork. Ideal candidates hold an active NJ RN license, BLS certification, and prefer BSN.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing (or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement).
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred; clinical experience in behavioral health desired.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes.
Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care decisions.
Educate patients and families clearly to support informed decisions.
Document accurately in EMR to ensure continuity of care.
