Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Program Director of Behavioral Health in Eagle Pass, TX. The role oversees clinical and operational leadership for an 18-bed inpatient unit, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications include a BSN or LCSW, Texas licensure, and 5–8+ years in the field, with master’s preferred. Bilingual Spanish skills are required. Horizon Health seeks strong leaders to drive performance and program development.

Qualifications

• Bilingual with Spanish is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or (LCSW) Licensed Clinical Social Worker required.
• Active RN license or (LCSW) Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas,
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Strong license and strong regulatory background, leadership skills and staff development experience
• Excellent clinical psychiatric knowledge base and understanding of programming
• Must have 5 to 8+ years of related work experience
• American Heart Association issued BLS and ACLS required
• CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight for behavioral health programs, ensuring patient safety, quality outcomes, and evidence-based practices
• Develop, implement, and evaluate behavioral health services, programs, and treatment models
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agency regulations (CMS, Joint Commission, state licensing)
• Collaborate with medical, nursing, and ancillary leadership to integrate behavioral health services across care settings
• Directs departmental staff involved in multidisciplinary teams to address process improvements
• Define the philosophy, goals and objectives of the treatment program with hospital administration and Medical Director
• Work with national support staff to maximize value from Horizon services
