Horizon Health Corporation, a Horizon Health Services subsidiary, seeks a Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health to oversee the 18-bed inpatient unit in Eagle Pass, TX. You will lead nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate care with physicians and the treatment team.

Responsibilities include staffing, performance evaluations, professional development, and ensuring timely documentation and discharge planning. Strong leadership and crisis prevention skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• 5–8 years of nursing experience in behavioral health.
• Active state RN license required.
• CPR, BLS and ACLS required.
• Crisis Prevention training or certification.
• Keeps up to date on professional literature and ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement and enforce clinical staffing plan for direct reports to ensure sufficient nursing personnel.
• Provide leadership and direction in accordance with hospital guidelines and nursing goals.
• Promote professional growth and development through training plans and continuing education.
• Monitor nursing performance and conduct regular evaluations of direct reports.
• Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams and outside agencies; ensure proper discharge planning and timely documentation.
• Audit performance and documentation for consistency and accuracy.
• Ensure quality of care by adhering to standards and measuring outcomes.
