Qualifications

• APRN license in Florida with national advanced certification.
• Nurse Practitioner track requires MN/MSN/DNP/PhD/DNS in nursing.
• Physician Assistant track requires graduation from an accredited PA program.
• Three (3) years of Advanced Practice Provider experience.
• Maintains current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages patients with high independence under physician supervision.
• Assesses physical and psychosocial status; conducts history, exam, and diagnostics; collaborates to plan treatment.
• Performs complex diagnostic/therapeutic procedures as credentialed and prescribes treatment.
• Assists in teaching students, residents, and interns in complex techniques.
• Implements management based on labs, exams, follow-up studies, and evidence-based medicine.
• Initiates actions to implement therapeutic plans for ongoing patient needs.
• Writes/Dictates progress notes, discharge summaries, and clinical resumes.
• Prescribes medications and maintains preventive health services.
• Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinates with specialty consultations.
• Participates in quality initiatives and review of policies and procedures.
• Performs advanced cardiac life support as needed in emergencies.
