Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Florida Physical Therapist license.
• BLS certification required.
• Acute care experience preferred; new graduates with acute rotations welcomed.
• Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for patients with acute medical conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and independence.
• Deliver manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait training and patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other clinicians to coordinate care.
• Document progress in the EMR according to BayCare standards.
• Participate in discharge planning and educate patients and families.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and state regulations.
