Job Overview
We are seeking a part-time Speech‑Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, treatment, and education for residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans addressing speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing impairments.
- Conduct bedside swallowing assessments and recommend dietary textures.
- Deliver therapy, document progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and safety precautions.
- Supervise assistants and students, maintain compliance with regulations, and foster a positive care environment.
Requirements
Requirements include a Master’s degree, current licensure in Oregon, and preferably CCC‑SLP certification. Prior experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing is preferred. The role involves 10 hours weekly, including weekends.
