Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated in Goleta, CA is seeking a Process Development Engineer to advance uncooled detector wafer fabrication. You will design and execute experiments, analyze data, and optimize plasma etch, PVD/PECVD processes to support infrared detector development.

The role requires hands-on processing of pilot lots, knowledge of semiconductor equipment, and proficiency in data analysis tools. You will work with device physicists and technicians in a collaborative lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of related experience preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel & Outlook; strong data analysis skills.
• Experience with AMAT tools Centura and Endura is desired.
• Knowledge of wafer fabrication processes and MEMS/semiconductor basics.

Responsibilities

• Innovate new wafer fab processes to support detector technology roadmap.
• Design and execute experiments, analyze data, document results.
• Characterize results with metrology tools and pilot lots.
• Automate or improve processes and plan SPC practices.
• Collaborate with device physicists and technicians across R&D.
