Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an engineering technician to work in the uncooled detector wafer processing team. You will process wafers in a cleanroom, qualify tools, and participate in pilot lots while characterizing results with metrology instrumentation.

The role involves hands-on fabrication, data analysis, and collaboration with device physicists and test engineers in a mixed office and lab environment. Strong attention to detail and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-5 years of related experience desired.
• Proficient computer skills – Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Some data analysis skills (Excel, MATLAB, JMP, Python, SQL, or equivalent) helpful.
• Ability to use inspection equipment (microscopes, FIB/SEM, interferometers), semiconductor fabrication equipment, and wet bench chemistry.
• Direct experience with wafer fabrication processes is helpful.
• Familiarity with microelectronic/semiconductor and MEMS fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

• Establish feasibility of new processes with hands-on processing of pilot lots on production equipment.
• Characterize results using quantitative metrology tools.
• Automate or improve established processes.
• Document methods and workflows in MES-ready format.
• Collaborate with device physicists, research technicians, and test engineers to participate in overall product R&D cycle.
