Job summary

ABB is seeking an on-site Mechanical Design Engineer to create, modify, and release custom motor designs and associated documentation. You will develop manufacturing specifications for low to medium complexity applications and collaborate with multiple teams to meet customer requirements and production goals.

The role emphasizes building accurate production drawings, BOMs, and engineering records while supporting design changes and ensuring manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred or an Associate’s Degree with relevant experience, or high school diploma with substantial experience.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and technical documentation for custom motor orders.
• Support custom order execution with design modifications and engineering changes that meet requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to provide technical documentation and resolve issues.
• Utilize SAP and engineering tools to manage documentation and drive continuous improvement.
