Leidos' Defense Systems Mechanical Design & Analysis Department in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a mechanical design engineer to lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT) delivering next-gen radar systems. You will direct a team of engineers to meet program goals within schedule and budget, with strong emphasis on technical depth and cross-functional coordination.

The role requires ABET-accredited engineering degrees, extensive experience, SolidWorks proficiency, and an active secret clearance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 12+ years of applicable experience or 10+ years with MS degree.
• Experience leading a team of engineers to develop solutions that meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Strong SolidWorks user.
• Active secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain secret clearance.

Responsabilités

• Own overall execution performance for the IPT scope.
• Lead cost, schedule, and technical performance alignment for the hardware team.
• Ensure program commitments are executable and aligned to baseline objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver on program objectives.
• Drive disciplined execution and risk management across the IPT.
• Represent the IPT in governance forums and lead design reviews.
