Job summary

nVent seeks a hands-on manufacturing/production engineer to support the production and maintenance teams, resolving equipment issues daily and driving safety improvements. You will assist with layout planning, testing of automated equipment, and continuous improvement projects while collaborating with vendors on tooling and processes.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years manufacturing experience.
• Experience with ECOs, BOMs and product routings is preferred.
• Ability to document processes and work instructions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support production and manufacturing engineering by fixing equipment issues daily.
• Develop ideas to improve safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with layout planning, installation, and testing of automated equipment.
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with vendors to procure tooling and equipment; document processes.
• Assist in new product launches and PDP process; estimate material and labor costs.
