Job summary

nVent is hiring for a Lean Technician to join our Lexington, MN area operations. The role focuses on applying Lean principles to improve safety, quality, delivery and productivity on the manufacturing floor.

You will work with operators, supervisors, engineers and leaders to identify opportunities and implement practical improvements. The position offers on-site, entry-level opportunities, with onboarding at nearby facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of manufacturing/production experience preferred.
• Exposure to Lean concepts such as 5S, Kaizen, standard work or visual management is a plus.
• Ability to observe processes and propose practical improvements.

Responsibilities

• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by partnering with production teams to implement Future State Plans.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee experience.
• Apply Lean tools (e.g., Standard Work, 5S, Kanban) to support process improvements.
• Support Lean Kaizen events: coordinate activities, prepare materials, document actions, assist implementation.
• Track and communicate project progress and results to teams; gather feedback and foster open communication.
