Job summary

Colorado Mountain College seeks a Lab Coordinator – Healthcare Simulation to manage the clinical simulation lab for nursing and allied health programs. You’ll oversee equipment, supplies, and faculty/student support, ensuring readiness and safety for learning experiences.

You will collaborate with the Dean of Nursing to evaluate lab operations, plan future needs, and train faculty and students in simulator use, while maintaining records and compliance with lab standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or healthcare related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current CPR Certification as a Healthcare Provider required.
• One or more years of teaching or simulation lab experience in academic or healthcare settings preferred.
• Experience organizing or managing healthcare supplies and laboratory equipment including simulators and AV tech preferred.
• Knowledge of simulation experiences in a nursing lab environment and ability to create/evaluate simulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and update lab policies and procedures with faculty/staff.
• Coordinate procurement and maintenance of supply inventory for labs and simulations.
• Ensure safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Facilitate scheduling of simulations for programs and partners.
• Operate patient simulators during supervised sessions.
• Support INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation Operations.
